The 2021 edition of the European Week of Action for Girls (EWAG), launched on the International Day of the Girl (11 October), has been full of actions!
For 2 weeks, young people from Africa and Europe have been advocating for girls’ rights at the heart of the upcoming AU-EU Partnership. They have spoken with their peers, with decision-makers and with civil society in order to share their message loud and clear.
But their 2021 EWAG journey started much before – for months, they have been exchanging ideas and participating in sessions designed to support their skills. It has been an amazing journey!
On 21 October, the 2021 activities are coming to an end. In this context, young advocates are meeting for a wrap-up discussion where they will share their experiences and hopes for the future.
The discussion will take place on Twitter Spaces and will be moderated by Yasmine Ouirhrane, founder of We Belong and AU-EU Youth Hub member.
