Ritah Nakaayi is a 23-year-old girl from Kampala, Uganda. As the eldest of thirteen siblings, and due to insufficient funds, she had to finish her education early. For the last two years, she has engaged with Plan International Uganda were she facilitates sessions for other young people on life skills, art and leadership, especially for girls. She is a member of the Youth Advisory Panel of Plan International Uganda and a youth mentor at the Smart Up Factory. Her engagement with Smart Up has helped her gain skills and confidence. As a result, she started a poultry project which has helped fund her return to education. She is now pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Makerere University. Ritah speaks English and is interested in topics like leadership and life skills.
