EWAG Publications

The 2025 edition takes place less than a year into the mandate of the new European Commission and ahead of the start of negotiations for the EU’s next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), which will define the Union’s long-term budget beyond 2027.

At this pivotal moment, when the international cooperation sector as a whole, and girls rights in particular, face significant challenges, the EWAG coalition remains dedicated to creating meaningful connections between child/young advocates, civil society experts, and EU decision-makers. The 2025 edition is a critical opportunity for the EU and its Member States to show their unwavering support for and real investment in girls’ rights.

This paper provides an overview of the MFF and its current status.
